Jill Oatey is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) skilled in individual, family, and marital counseling. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Development from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Human Services from John Carroll University. She attended Ashland Theological Seminary to complete her course work to be come a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Jill completed her clinical internship at Laurelwood Counseling Center in Westlake, Ohio. She holds professional memberships in the American Counseling Association, the National Eating Disorders Organization, and the American Association of Christian Counselors. As a counselor, Mrs. Oatey treats adults, couples, and children struggling with emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and relationship difficulties. She also addresses stress management and implements relaxation techniques in her counseling. Seeking to help others develop healthy living skills through understanding, developmental issues, cognitive adjustments, improved communication skills, and behavioral changes are among her main goals. Mrs. Oatey has served as Director of Women's Ministry at Bay Presbyterian Church where she provided direction and guidance for women leading Bible studies, prayer groups, and lecture series. She has also led Bible studies, served on an evangelical team, and taught marriage classes in a church setting. Jill is presently a volunteer at the North Coast Health Ministry where she provides counseling for the indigent and the working poor. Experienced as a licensed preschool teacher and the mother of three, Jill has a gift for working with both adults and children. As a qualified speaker, Mrs. Oatey has led workshops, meetings, and seminars on topics including stress management, women's issues, parenting, and depression.
